"Night Beauty"
I wanted to do an art piece incorporating the owl because of the owl's majestic beauty and mystery. And then discovering the richness and texture of the dark amber chord glass that I used for the tree, brought this piece to life.

"Hummingbird in Flight"
This piece has special meaning to me because it is my first big piece and the idea to undertake the craft of stained glass stemmed from this design. Once completed, I truly enjoyed the brightness of the red and blue used in the bird.

"Dragonfly Box"
Picking the subject for this design was quite easy. Having a fish pond in my garden, I am able to grow cattails and I am often visited by dragonflies. I like this piece because of its versatility. I can see it as a candleholder or a really beautiful vase for a silk flower arrangement .

"Nouveau"
When I first drew this design, I had in my mind a picture of skyscrapers all coming together, something one may have seen during the art nouveau heyday. I have a true fondness for that period of art.
